Our location in Deer Park, IL or Tampa, FL currently has an opportunity for an Associate, Pharmacovigilance.
Position Summary
The Associate, Pharmacovigilance supports the Company’s pharmacovigilance system and provides operational oversight of outsourced pharmacovigilance activities. The position is responsible for reviewing individual case safety reports, aggregate safety reports, signal-detection outputs, reconciliation records, compliance metrics, and other pharmacovigilance documentation to help ensure the timely, accurate, and complete collection, evaluation, documentation, and reporting of safety information. This position will report to Associate Director, Pharmacovigilance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversight of third-party service provider responsible for pharmacovigilance activities
- Review of adverse event source documents, triage assessments and MedWatch/CIOMS reports
- Review of signal detection reports
- Review of Periodic Adverse Drug Experience Reports (PADERs)
- Review of monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports provided by the third-party service provider
- Review of weekly reports from the third-party service provider for reconciliation purposes
- Participating in PV Committee Meetings
- Assist with management of annual CGVP training
- Support audit readiness initiatives for PV audits
- Assist with PV audits of business partners
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a Pharmacovigilance role required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Health Sciences related field.
- Working knowledge of adverse-event reporting principles and applicable FDA and ICH pharmacovigilance requirements.
- Familiarity with MedDRA terminology and safety databases is required.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
What We Offer
Total compensation with salary and bonus is targeted for $85,000 - $105,000. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors such as geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
