## Role Overview

The Associate Director or Director, Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Oncology leads and manages MSLs within the West Region. This field-based role collaborates with Medical Affairs senior management on strategic and tactical planning, works with Medical Affairs and Clinical Development teams to support clinical studies, and engages with external customers to understand the scientific landscape. You'll communicate insights to internal stakeholders and provide individualized development plans and performance management to your team.

### Key Responsibilities

- Lead, direct, and manage MSLs within the region

- Develop talent through goal setting, oversight, coaching, performance assessment, and engagement

- Provide field-level scientific leadership in assigned therapeutic areas, working with home office medical colleagues

- Collaborate effectively and compliantly with cross-functional and alliance leadership

- Ensure clear targets, cascade important information, and drive accountability

## Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with an advanced scientific terminal degree (MD, Ph. D, or Pharm. D) and 8+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with 10+ years of relevant experience is accepted, with Life Sciences industry experience preferred.
• *Required experience includes:**

- Previous experience managing field-based medical teams (supervisory/leadership capacity preferred)

- Proven performance in a prior role

- Practical understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, Ph. RMA, and other international regulatory/ethical guidelines

- Oncology experience preferred

- Ability to travel for conferences, congresses, team meetings, mentoring/training, and KOL/HCP interactions

## Salary and Benefits

The annual base salary range for the Associate Director level is $206,600–$271,215; for the Director level, $224,600–$294,735. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for the Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan and Long Term Incentive Plan. Final pay depends on experience, education, knowledge, and skills. ## Work Environment

This is a field-based role requiring regular in-person engagement with HCPs and other third parties at their offices and institutions.
