### The Role

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Business Development, the Associate Director of Business Development will oversee and manage strategic growth planning and execution, sales, and relationship strategies within assigned markets. You will conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to develop effective growth plans and deploy sales team field strategies and tactics. As the growth strategy leader of the area leadership team, you will align closely with operations, clinical, pharmacy, ancillary services, and other leaders. You will also manage the marketing budget and expenses.

Your responsibilities include fostering a team-focused culture, conducting market analysis including SWOTs and competitive analysis, and using insights to develop comprehensive growth plans. You'll work closely with the area leadership team to define strategy and plans for future growth, translating opportunities into defined tactics and timelines. You'll deploy the sales team to execute growth strategies, utilize analytical platforms to determine trends, monitor and track growth strategy viability, and coach the sales team to adjust tactics and achieve targets. You'll provide quarterly performance reports to leaders and key stakeholders, and engage in critical solution discussions with physicians and referring stakeholders to improve continuity of care processes. Strengthening referral relationships with large system leadership and physicians through in-person meetings, dinners, and other interactions is key, as is developing strong relationships as a trusted advisor and partner to large system stakeholders like health systems, MSOs, ACOs, and multi-site provider groups. You'll also develop plans and strategies for new service offerings, insurance changes, and other changes impacting referral relationships, and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to improve service standards and best practices. You'll facilitate issue resolution discussions, prepare value propositions and presentations for executive audiences, stay up-to-date on industry and regulatory changes, and ensure the sales team achieves their objectives and growth targets. Leading, hiring, training, and coaching the sales team is essential, as is developing and owning critical system-level relationships. Working with marketing, you'll develop regional collateral and marketing materials, and utilize CRM software (like Salesforce) to track sales team activity and maintain accurate records. You'll adhere to all federal and state regulations regarding safety, HIPAA, and patient care, foster trust in ambiguous situations, demonstrate financial stewardship, and maintain high integrity and diplomacy in all interactions.

### Qualifications

- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or public health (MBA, MHA, MPH) is preferred. An advanced degree may be accepted in lieu of experience.

- **Experience:** Seven plus years of healthcare and/or oncology industry and medical outside sales/development experience is required. This includes previous experience managing a sales team and building strategic plans and growth strategies based on comprehensive market analysis. You should have 7+ years of medical consultative sales/business development experience or 7+ years of B2B sales/business development, with established and ongoing relationships with area physicians and strategic partners. An advanced understanding of medical terminology specific to oncology/hematology and a complex understanding of all FCS service offerings are needed, along with the ability to communicate those offerings concisely. You must have an exceptional record of continued overachievement in growth metrics and be willing to take on additional projects. Subject matter expertise in healthcare business and operations is expected.

- **Computer Skills:** Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power. Point, and Outlook required. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is also required.

- **Additional:** Ability to collaborate across various levels of management and teams, and comfortable negotiating problems and exploring solutions with physicians.

### Screening Requirements
