One Medicines USA, Inc. is growing fast and looking for a highly motivated, collaborative scientific professional to take on the role of Associate Director, Clinical Biomarker & Translational Medicine for Oncology. This role focuses on our solid tumor portfolio, specifically the GI franchise, and requires strategic, scientific, and operational leadership across clinical biomarker initiatives. You'll drive biomarker strategies that accelerate clinical trials and pipeline advancement.
### What You'll Do
You will lead global clinical biomarker strategy for solid tumor oncology in partnership with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective design and implementation of biomarker and companion diagnostic initiatives throughout drug development. This includes overseeing biomarker assay development and validation—providing scientific input on assay design, proficiency testing, and analytical/clinical validation to ensure readiness for regulatory and clinical decisions. You'll direct the analysis and interpretation of biomarker data to inform go/no-go decisions and trial advancement. Communication is key: you'll translate biomarker data into tangible insights and strategy recommendations for internal and external stakeholders. As a scientific leader and subject matter expert, you'll actively contribute to program strategy and the advancement of clinical stage projects. You'll also manage external partnerships with academic institutions, CROs, and industry partners to enhance biomarker discovery. Contributions to regulatory submissions related to biomarker strategies and companion diagnostics are expected, as is championing biomarker-related publications to drive thought leadership.
### Who You Are
This role requires a Ph. D or MD/Ph. D in a relevant scientific discipline with at least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology settings, specifically focusing on biomarker science in oncology. Deep expertise in biomarker discovery, clinical assay development, and validation is essential, including proficiency in designing and analyzing biomarker-driven clinical trials. Strong experience in preclinical oncology research and drug discovery is also needed. You should have demonstrated leadership in translational medicine, with a track record of successful biomarker strategies that led to regulatory submissions, approvals, or high-impact publications. Experience managing cross-functional and cross-institutional teams is important. Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills are required. You must thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and be able to mentor junior scientists and project teams. A strong publication record and/or regulatory contributions in oncology clinical development are expected. Mandarin language proficiency is required. Travel is not required.
### Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $147,100.00 to $197,100.00 annually. Be. One is committed to fair compensation, and actual packages are determined by factors such as skills, experience, certifications, education, and location. You'll be eligible for the annual bonus plan (for non-commercial roles) or incentive compensation plan (for commercial roles). All employees have the opportunity to own shares of Be.
