Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Associate will support the firm’s legal practice by drafting motions, pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents, and by conducting legal and factual research. Daily responsibilities include meeting with clients, preparing case files, reviewing discovery materials, and assisting in case strategy development. The role also involves communicating with opposing counsel and courts, attending hearings or depositions as needed, and helping manage deadlines and court filings. The Associate will collaborate with the principal attorney to advance client matters efficiently and professionally while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with applicable rules.

Qualifications



- Ability to conduct thorough legal research, analyze statutes and case law, and apply findings to client matters.
- Strong drafting skills for pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Effective client communication skills, including the ability to explain legal issues clearly and maintain professional relationships.
- Organizational and case management abilities, including managing calendars, deadlines, and document files with attention to detail.
- Comfort working collaboratively with attorneys and staff, and independently managing assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice law in Texas.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, professionalism, and confidentiality in all client and case-related matters.
- Prior law firm or clerkship experience, particularly in litigation or relevant practice areas, is beneficial.
