Accounts Payable & Accounting Specialist

Salary: $45,760.00 - $52,000.00



Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Accounting Specialist to join their finance team. This position will support daily accounting operations, invoice processing, reconciliations, and month-end activities. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, solving discrepancies, and ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date.



Key Responsibilities




- Process accounts payable invoices, expense coding, payment runs, and vendor account reconciliations.
- Perform three-way matching, research discrepancies, and work with internal departments to resolve issues.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals and financial reporting.
- Maintain vendor records, W-9 documentation, and assist with annual 1099 reporting.
- Assist with bank reconciliations, audit requests, and maintaining organized financial records.
- Identify process improvements while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.





Qualifications





- 2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or bookkeeping experience.
- Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
