Ambulatory Practice Coordinator 3 – Redwood City Specialty Care

About the Role
The Practice Coordinator 3 (PC 3) plays an important role in creating an exceptional experience for patients while supporting the day-to-day operations of the practice. As a key member of the administrative team and a public-facing representative of UCSF, the PC 3 works closely with administrative, clinical, and management teams to ensure efficient practice operations and responsive patient service.
This position supports a broad range of administrative functions, including:
- Managing CRM messages and telephone encounters
- Processing and coordinating referrals
- Managing APeX in-baskets
- Scanning, filing, and maintaining patient documentation
- Supporting authorizations and billing activities
- Facilitating communication among patients, providers, hospital staff, and departments
- Assisting with customer service recovery and intervention efforts
- Maintaining routine clerical operations and communications
The PC 3 consistently follows UCSF House and Telephone Standards and demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of patients, providers, and colleagues.
Successful candidates will be collaborative, adaptable, organized, and comfortable managing changing priorities. The PC 3 is expected to work independently, apply knowledge of practice operations to solve problems, prioritize competing needs, and facilitate complex administrative transactions.
Through excellent customer service and accurate, timely communication, this position directly contributes to an efficient outpatient care environment and a positive experience for our patients.
Please note: The Practice Coordinator 3 may be required to work at any UCSF campus based on operational needs and scheduling.
