Summary
The Ambulatory Pharmacist Clinical Lead will provide supervision, leadership, and evaluation of the team members assigned to provide clinical pharmacy services within the Specialty Pharmacy and will lead clinical initiatives under the directive of the Department of Pharmacy. Duties include but are not limited to collaborating with and supporting cancer center clinical programs and departments, ensuring that pharmacy is fully integrated into multi-disciplinary, individualized patient care, and total cancer care philosophies. This position will serve as an educational resource to other Moffitt team members as appropriate. This position will be charged with evaluating new clinical trends and developing strategies to incorporate clinically significant concepts to elevate Moffitt Specialty Pharmacy practice. This position will lead professional activities including didactic and/or poster presentations and research and clinical initiatives to ensure that Moffitt is recognized as a leader for progressive pharmacy. This position will collaborate with other clinical lead pharmacists to develop clinical measures/activities and administer progressive educational programs for team members, students, patients, affiliates, and the community. The Ambulatory Pharmacist Clinical Lead will have staffing duties including accurate dispensing, monitoring patient care, and supporting the teams that are charged with obtaining prior authorizations and medication access for ambulatory patients. This position will lead content creation initiatives for training and clinical competencies. This position will be responsible for orientation and training of interns, residents, and students ensuring documentation of standards met required for competency. This position will manage a progressive quality improvement effort focusing on clinical aspects of Specialty Pharmacy. This position will assist the pharmacy supervisor and manager in ensuring that quality, safety, regulatory, financial, and legal standards are met for the benefit of optimal patient care and so the cancer center is in a state of perpetual readiness for inspections, surveys, and audits.
Salary Range
Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
