Physical Therapist (PT)

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in an acute care inpatient rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will have solid acute care experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide quality physical therapy services to patients in an acute care setting.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist patients in improving their mobility and functional abilities.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans using electronic medical record systems.
• Float to other like units as needed to meet patient care requirements.
Qualifications
• Valid California Physical Therapy license or proof of license pending with submission proof.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in acute care. Candidates with less experience may be considered if they can demonstrate independence in patient care.
• Trauma experience is highly preferred; candidates without trauma experience must be comfortable working in this environment.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
• First-time travelers with acute care and trauma experience are welcome to apply.
Schedule and Requirements
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, with a requirement to work a minimum of three weekend shifts every six weeks. Weekend shifts may include Saturday or Sunday.
• Traveler may be asked to work on days adjacent to holiday periods.
• Ratio of patients to therapists: 1:2.
• Requests for time off must be included at the time of submission.
• Guaranteed hours: The facility reserves the right to call off one shift during a two-week pay period.
