Ali Gabali: Pleased to Welcome Sanam Husain as the Incoming Medical Director of the Laboratory at McLaren Lapeer Hospital

“We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Sanam Husain to the Department of Pathology at McLaren Health Care as the incoming Medical Director of the Laboratory at McLaren Lapeer Hospital, starting July 15, 2025.

Dr. Husain will transition into her new role alongside Dr. Bassily, who will retire on July 31, 2025, after many years of dedicated service. She brings subspecialty expertise in gynecologic, gastrointestinal, and breast pathology, and currently serves as the Pathology Residency Program Director at Henry Ford Health System.

Dr. Husain brings with her extensive experience in diagnostic pathology, medical education, and laboratory leadership. We’re excited to have her join our team and are confident she’ll bring tremendous value to McLaren Lapeer Hospital and the broader Department of Pathology at McLaren Health Care.
