Job Summary
The Adult Oncology Nurse Navigator is part of the multidisciplinary team, serving as an advocate and educator for cancer patients from diagnosis through the end of active treatment. The Navigator must ensure patient adherence to the treatment plan by building relationships, coordinating care, managing appointments, addressing transportation and educational needs, and providing resources within the care environment. Responsibilities include managing resources to achieve efficient, high‑quality outcomes, and liaising among patients, families, physicians, internal and external healthcare providers, support network members, and the wider community.
Qualifications
• Mandatory: Minimum 1–3 years overall nursing experience
• Mandatory: Associate of Applied Science in Nursing
• Mandatory: Current licensure as a registered nurse
• Mandatory: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred: Strong nursing experience in oncology, nurse navigation, or patient education
• Preferred: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification achieved or in progress
• Preferred: Experience with interdisciplinary and cross‑facility care coordination
