Position Overview

Guardant Health, a leading precision oncology company, is transforming patient care by accelerating new cancer therapies through advanced blood and tissue tests, real‐world data, and AI analytics. We are seeking a field‐based Account Executive to join our expanding Screening and Early Detection commercial team. In this role, you will promote the Shield colorectal cancer (CRC) blood test to healthcare providers in primary care, driving early detection, improving outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales goals through effective prospecting, relationship-building, and execution of national sales strategies.

• Target and Engage Healthcare Providers: Build strong relationships and gain commitment to adopt the Shield test for CRC and other cancers.

• Challenger Selling: Understand provider needs and demonstrate how Guardant Health's offerings can improve patient outcomes and streamline practices.

• Educate and Support Providers: Deliver in-depth product knowledge and training to ensure smooth integration of Shield into practice workflows.

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with clinical, marketing, and product teams to align sales strategies and share market feedback.

• Strategic Business Expansion: Identify new business opportunities within your territory and collaborate with laboratories to expand reach and secure phlebotomy draw agreements.

• Plan & Execute Launches: Develop and execute business plans in line with brand strategies for new cancer screening technologies.

• Monitor Competitive Landscape: Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to inform sales tactics.

• Customer Feedback & Reporting: Regularly communicate key insights to enhance product offerings and optimize sales strategies.

• Provide High-Touch Customer Service: Resolve issues proactively and support healthcare providers at every stage of the sales process.

• Ensure Compliance & Administrative Excellence: Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and manage multiple projects effectively.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales role within the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales).

• Demonstrated ability to engage in selling conversations, overcome objections, and align client needs with product offerings.

• Strong understanding of the healthcare provider landscape with the ability to quickly learn and apply technical product knowledge.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

• Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, or similar platforms.

• Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with diagnostic products, particularly blood-based testing or cancer screening products.

• Proven experience in planning and executing product launches in the healthcare or diagnostic space.

• High-touch customer service and relationship-building skills with a focus on long-term partnerships.

Benefits & Perks

• Compensation: US Location Base Pay Range: $116,000 - $133,000 (excluding bonus, commission, or equity), determined by geography, experience, and other factors.

• Hybrid Work Model: Onsite collaboration required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for U.S. employees within 50 miles of a Guardant facility.

• Eligibility for comprehensive benefits and additional performance-based incentives.
