Academic Surgical Pathologist - Breast Pathology

The Emory University Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a full-time academic Surgical Pathologist specializing in breast pathology at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor. Candidates with at least 3-5 years of experience may also be considered for the Director of Breast Pathology. This non-tenure track position offers opportunities to evaluate a high volume of breast specimens, collaborate with an interactive faculty, and engage in clinical and translational scholarship and teaching.

Practice Info

• Subspecialized setting evaluating a wide variety of breast specimens from seven breast center locations, including approximately 1,200 new breast cancer cases each year

• Large AP/CP residency program and 14 accredited subspecialty fellowships

• Advanced molecular diagnostic capabilities

• Close ties to the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Institute

Responsibilities

• Participate in clinical and translational scholarship and teaching

• Compensation and faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications

Requirements

• Board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology

• Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia

• Fellowship training and/or expertise in breast pathology is preferred

• Interest in a second anatomic pathology subspecialty, specifically gynecologic pathology or cytopathology, is desirable
