Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Hematology/Oncology Physician

• Location: Pontiac, Michigan

• Setting: Outpatient hematology and oncology clinic

• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts

• Shifts Per Week: 3

• Call: Clinic call as needed, with optional night call and optional weekend 24-hour call

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,990 - $8,280

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Patient Volume: Approximately 15-20 outpatient visits per day

• EMR: Cerner

• Care Focus: Adult outpatient hematology and oncology

Job Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology

• Active Michigan medical license

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Hematology/Oncology

• BLS and ACLS certification required

• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

• Ability to provide outpatient clinic and clinic call coverage

• Must be comfortable practicing in a busy adult outpatient setting

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care

• See and manage a daily panel of adult oncology patients

• Support clinic call coverage as needed

• Participate in tumor board discussions and collaborative care planning

• Work alongside nursing staff, medical assistants, social workers, dietitians, and nurse navigators

• Coordinate with onsite support services to ensure seamless patient care

• Deliver high-quality care in a team-based specialty clinic environment
