Position Overview

A hospital-based Hematology and Oncology practice in Pennsylvania is seeking a physician for a long-term, full-time locum tenens assignment from October 2026 through March 2027.

The physician will provide outpatient Hematology and Oncology care, assist with inpatient consultations when needed, and support the continued development of a newly opened community-based practice.

This position requires a consistent full-time commitment. PRN, sporadic, and intermittent coverage will not be considered.

Top 10–15% Nationally for Hematology/Oncology Locum Assignments

At $500 per hour, this opportunity is at the upper end of the prevailing market for standard Hematology/Oncology locum coverage. Current advertised assignments commonly fall between approximately $375 and $500 per hour, while selected high-demand positions may reach $525 to $550 per hour.

Assignment Highlights

• Full-time coverage only

• Consistent four- or five-day workweek required

• No PRN or intermittent availability

• October 12, 2026 through March 8, 2027

• Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Adult patients only

• Approximately 10 patients per day, with volume expected to grow

• Approximately 60% Oncology and 40% Hematology

• Outpatient clinic with inpatient consultations as needed

• Clinic located inside the hospital

• 131-bed acute-care hospital

• Epic EMR

• One employed physician currently in place

• Weeknight and weekend call anticipated approximately 1:2

• Pennsylvania license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required at presentation

• Approximately 90-day credentialing timeframe

• All orientation hours billable
